3 Reasons to Celebrate Your Fitness Success

Do you celebrate your fitness success? Celebrating your successes is crucial to self motivation. Perhaps you are new to exercise, or you have been gradually stepping up your workouts. Setting goals is an excellent way to motivate yourself and so is celebrating when you reach those goals.

Here are 3 ways to celebrate your fitness success

  1. Set a Tangible Reward. The true rewards of movement are plentiful- better sleep, improved confidence and more strength. Having a tangible reward to work towards can also be fun! Examples of tangible rewards include a spa day, a new book, new workout clothes or a fun movie date. For example, if you have picked up running, this might be a great opportunity to reward yourself with better running shoes.
  2. Reward Yourself with a New Exercise. Perhaps your goal was to walk or run 150 minutes a week for four weeks. Your reward could be swapping your usual run for a relaxing yoga or pilates class. You might even enjoy it so much it ends up turning into a new goal!
  3. Need Proof? While you are probably feeling the benefits of exercise, we know it can be difficult to quantify. Using weight as a measure of health is misleading and often leads to more unhealthy behaviors. Instead of looking towards a scale, reward yourself with an appointment with a health coach!
